Four Star Generals: The China-American War Erupts in 2025

Saturday 28 January 2023

Jakarta, DailyFastNews.Com Indonesia - A four-star United States (US) Air Force general said his gut feeling said that the United States would go to war against China in the next two years, or more precisely in 2025.

This was conveyed by the head of the Air Mobility Command in a memo to the leaders of its approximately 110,000 members. The letter is dated February 1 but was sent last Friday, January 27.

"I hope I'm wrong. My gut tells me I will fight in 2025," said General Mike Minihan, citing Reuters, Sunday (29/1/2023). But the general's view does not represent that of the Pentagon but does reflect concern at the highest levels of the US military over China's possible attempts to exert control over Taiwan, which China claims as its territory.

It is known that both the US and Taiwan will hold presidential elections in 2024, potentially creating an opportunity for China to take military action, Minihan wrote. "These comments do not represent the department's view of China," a US defense official said. Beginning of January. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said it was highly doubtful that China's increased military activity near the Taiwan Strait was a sign of an imminent invasion by Beijing of the island.

As you know, China has stepped up diplomatic, military and economic pressure in recent years on the self-governing island. Taiwan's government says it wants peace but will defend itself if attacked. Responding to a request for comment, Air Force Brigadier General Patrick Ryder said in a statement that military competition with China posed a major challenge. "Our focus remains working with allies and partners to maintain a peaceful, free and open Indo-Pacific," he said.
